I need to replace a rear tire on my Allis WC. It currently has 11-28's on it. What would be the replacement size for this? I don't think it's 11.2-28, because this is what my "N" has, which I believe came with 10-28 when new. Would the Allis need 12.4-28? Thanks.

Measure the inside width of your rim. A 10" rim would use an 11.2. An 11" rim a 12.4 and so on. It is common go one size over such as a 12.4 on a 10" rim.

I guess I should add that I am only replacing one at this time, so which size would best match the old 11-28?

The guys are steering you right as it seems...but it is my experience that if you put a ten inch tire on a ten inch rim and then pump it up, it has no where to go but up. In other words, it makes the tire larger in diameter, faster ground speed and less lugging power. What am I basing my opinion on? I put a rear on one of my tractors that had a ten/ten on one side and a 12.4 on the other and the tractor sat lopsided...two inches difference in height. Just a FYI thing, dealers choice. ohfred

It sat lop-sided because they are two different size tires. The 12.4 is the old size 11 inch, and you had a 10 inch on the other side. Wider tire has a taller profile.
