another one- 1750 hydraulics

I posted a few weeks ago about my new to me Ollie 1750 diesel not being able to lift my Massey 520 disc very well. I had to have the engine almost PTO rpm and it would slowly raise it all the way, slooooowly. Well, neighbor wants me to hit that 26+/- acres of beans stubble for him right behind the combine, so yesterday I fired the ol girl up 40 deg and she popped right off by the way!! Any way, with the tractor idling, i thought i would try the hydraulics, and the disc raised right up, no problem? What gives? Is it possible I have to light of hydraulic oil? Is it possible I have an intermittent bypass inside or something. Before It didn't work worth a darn and yesterday it works like a new tractor. I did buy a $100 3.5" cylinder if I need it, currently has a 2" on the disk.

The thing that can actup is the priority valve for the steering. If it puts too much to the steering the remotes will not get much. The oppisite can allso happen and the oil will be forced to the hydrolic remotes. If either one happens yous should feel it in the steering.

i had about same symptom for a while on 1855.
hydr remotes work fine at idle and slow at full trottle, steering would lock up on occasion as well. must have been priority valve sticking.all cleared up by itself.
