Crossing Old NH SKidloader to John Deere

Arent the old L series NH skidsteers the same exact thing as the John Deere models? Anyone know how to figure out which model crosses to the other? I have a NH 785 and want to figure out which JD model it is.
Thanks

Are you sure about that with your model. I also had a 7775 on my dairy but at the time was told it was Deere first in house designed skid loaders in years. They had used NH built Deere badged for many years but the 5575-8875 were Deeres first new effort to build there own skidloader. If you look at yours, its lift system is nothing like Ford/NH's SuperBoom system. The next series 240-270 further shows even more difference from NHs design.

I had a 8875 Deere it was the same as the 885 New Holland except had a deere engine. If i remember right 7775 was the 775 and the 785 had two speed. The 865 & 885 where the same except the 885 was two speed.

Wow, I learned something today, I never realized they made a 3375 or 4475 skid loader. I think the last skidloader that was a rebadged NH according to the website you provided was the 575. By looking at it, it is very definately a NH.

I'm pretty sure that the 7775 was still a NH design though I'm not sure of the engine. I beleive the 240-270 were the first 'Deere' designs. The changeover was somewhere in the mid-late 90's.
NH's patent on the 'SuperBoom' was issued somewhere around 1970 or shortly therafter and was good for 25 years. The patent was what held Deere back from producing their own.
I do know that the Deere's followed into NH's second generation boom which they are basically using yet...
