Nice looking rig. Certainly would move snow. About the 4-wheeler comment. Depending on the layout of the driveway, you'd be surprised what a good 4-wheeler and angle blade setup will do in a short time. In 4" snowfalls, I'd believe that a 4-wheeler would be quicker than a tractor in many situations. In 3' drifts, forget the 4-wheeler, all your buddies will be call'in you to come open up there driveways with your "real" snow moving machine!

The lift arms on the back were for the cultivator lift and were available from the CC series, first as mechanical and later hydraulic operated. They operated only when the clutch was engaged and the pto had to be engaged on the hydraulic models.

A 4 wheeler is a lot more maneuverable and can back up and shift gears way faster. Also 4 wheelers have spring trip blades. If you're going fast and hit something solid, you better have a seat belt on. I used to clear snow with a skid steer. I hit a curb that a big loader had broken a piece out of. I was going about 1 mph and it was like running into a concrete wall doing about 20 mph. If I had been using a tractor and been going faster, I would have catuputed off the seat and either onto the hood or through the windshield. In heavy packed or wet snow I don't think either machine would work very good. No down pressure and your blade might be too wide to push if it was completely full pushing in deep snow. Fresh snow fall it should work pretty good though. Dave

I'm tired of plowing snow!!!! I'm running out of places to go with it--1,000 foot drive, brush on both sides. Once the banks get too high and too hard, the TO-30 won't knock them down. I am getting better at it though.

I went to a walk behind snowblower and found out I can clear the drive faster with it then a tractor and a blade.

A four wheeler can out plow my tractor up to about 4" if they have room to put it.

A truck can out plow my tractor until 6-8" if they have room to put it.

The blower on the back of my tractor can beat my 7.5" blade on the front after 8" or so of depth or really heavy ice pellets.

After everyone runs out of room the blower starts making me lots of money. 1 day of blowing plowed banks back on a weekend is far more enjoyable for me than getting up in the wee hours a couple of times a week.
