Hay wagon pictures

Here"s a few pictures of the hay wagon we brought home yesterday. It"s made from a 1932 car. I"m hoping it"ll be strong enough for some square bales...it was used for round bales before, so I"m hoping it"ll be ok.
Here"s a picture of the "hay wagon" I"ve been using...a 5ft by 10ft utility trailer. =) Thanks for all your great ideas about how to do the deck.

Cannot see the hubs good enough to tell if a 32-35 Ford or a 41-48 Ford but it has the factory conversion on it. I use a wagon made out of 41-48 Ford front axles both ends for years and it would end up with the biggest loads a lot of the times as was last of three to be used and had over 150 36" bales on it many a time. Those axles are stronger than you think. The front wheels if 32-35 will not have a grease seal in them, 41-48 will

Don't know what that wheelbase is but I'm gonna guess close to 15 feet. I'd seriously consider shortening that to somewhere around 11. Maybe if you laminated three 2x8' for each side of the stringers it might work.
And you're gonna need some 8 ply 2400 lb tires.

It"s 18 feet right now. I"m going to shorten it to 12 feet and have 2 feet of overhang on each end to make a 16 foot wagon. Going to get started on it pretty soon today.
