Just for your information.Storm moved east out of Oklahoma about 10:45 PM. In our area it was more like a freezing mist built up about quarter inch. Then about inch of sleet then added a inch of snow. Roads badddd. Of course Oklahoma runs the sanding trucks up & down the highway not putting any salt & sand and runs the snow plow trucks with the blades up. Took son three hours to come 20 miles from work at Oklahoma State Univ. yesterday with a 4x4 3500 Dodge. They had closed and all of idiot were crawling home in a slow moving line that no one would move out of. He said they were unbeleivable.

Ice storm also moved south to Dallas.

Nancy and I stayed home today and will stay home again tomorrow.

An old saying comes to mind "[b:654c4848f0][i:654c4848f0]There"s nothing more dangerous than a Texan on ice.[/b:654c4848f0][/i:654c4848f0]"

Stocked up on the survival essentials: Dr. Pepper, Cheetos, bread, milk, etc.

Cabin fever set in about 12 noon; nothing but court tv and soap operas.

How the he11 does one keep their sanity sitting at home all day!

Got tired of eBay, Craigslist, and read all the posts on YT before noon so decided to take a nap.

Looking forward to more of the same on Wednesday.

Don"t know how y"all north of the Red River put up with this type of weather.

I'm in Illinois just southeast of St. louis. Last nite sleet & freezing rain, then snow, Have 6-7 inches new snow and still snowing. Car is stuck in the driveway. Going to wait for daylite before getting the tractor & blade out. We have at least 10 inches total of snow, sleet, and ice

Up at Farmington we got a inch or two of snow out of this storm. I kinda feel bad really. The end of last week I saw some weather models that had this big storm coming right over central IL so I went to the very unusual steps of being prepared. If I wouldnt have got ready we would have got all that snow. But dont worry I'm sure next time I wont get ready, you will miss it and I will be totally unprepared!

We both work for the Dallas County Community College Dist. There's at least 1/4 inch of ice on my truck, the temp is 23 and we're supposed to go in at noon today.

My dad was from Indiana and used to say "There's nothing more dangerous than a Texan on ice."

Last night the news reported 197 wrecks in Dallas and I don't remember how many in Ft. Worth. My truck may be old, but its paid for and I'm not risking it.

I played countless rounds of solitaire yesterday and will play more today.

Staying home and not being able to do things outside is BORING, but better than a wreck.

Yeah, It's our turn now. Got about 3" of snow over night and now it is trying to turn to sleet and freezing rain. Only problem is that the temp is 21 degrees. I worked for the county road dept. for 36 years and now that I am retired, I can stay in the house or work shop and just watch mother nature do it's thing.

It is a beautiful bright sunshine day day here . OSU closed today. Being raised in Iowa I have never figured out Oklahoma road care in snow and ice. I think it is wait it will warm up,

About 11:00 this morning the sun came out and the storm had passed us by going east. Officially SE Indiana got 7-9 inches, Indy got 12. SEIREMC reports 800 customers still without power, mostly along the Ohio River. I think Kentucky got I-75 southbound (cut in the hill, upgrade from the Ohio River) re-opened about 1:00.
