Just curious if anyone else owns/drives a Mustang. My dd is a '95 GT 'vert that is bone stock right now, but I am building a 351 to put in it.

I've owned a lot of them- 2-1970 Mach 1's, '70 fastback, a couple of '68 fastbacks, probably some more I forgot. Only one I have now is a 1993 Cobra, bought new, and has 7000 miles on it.

Ya' You got it goin' on 71Ford, I have a '93 LX 5.0 COUPE Calypso Green W/about 1,300 Hundred Miles, never driven in the rain, Took it out of the Showroom...Automatic With all options with the exception of rear Defroster,<> Daughter has 2008' RED Auto. GT Convertable, They are Nice rides! All are 100% Stock, Larry KF4LKU

Nope, no Rustang here. All pick-em-ups. Preferably 3/4 ton or 1 ton 4x4 Diesels. Kinda hard to pull 10k with a car. If it ain't smokin it's broken or if it ain't blowin black take it back.

Played with a '67 for awhile but never licensed it. My Mom had a 1970 ragtop with a 351 Cleveland back in '76 when I was 18. I called it "Blue Thunder". Made the sweetest music at about 50 or 60 mph! Heckuva' fun ride...I have an '83 ragtop now with the 3.8, it's fun but after that Cleveland it just aint the same...

Just about like yours, but a little redder. What is your top color. Mines white. 302 automatic. It will get you a ticket. Speedo says 150 don't it? Seems like a little work would put the 302 ahead of 351, I was told. ONly 40K miles. I'm getting too feeble to get in and out of it. My wife drives it all over in summertime. Be sure and add the frame bars for stability. Dave

Yep, owned a 96 gt first and currently have a 98 Cobra with a Kenne Bell blower. She puts down 397 torque and 430 horsepower at the wheels. I need to upgrade the fuel system now, as i have maxed out my 42 lb injectors.

Bought a 1972 Mustang Grande with a 351 Clev'd in 1975, was second owner. Owned it 27 years -had 39k when I bought it and 89K when I sold it in 2002. Got tired of worrying about keeping it mint. Had NO rust or bondo and the engine was never touched -all original. Never let my boys even drive it when they were old enough. Bought it for $2200 in 1975.
Still have a 1971 Grande with the Mach 1 hood and a 302 all chromed. Bought this for my boys, as I wouldn't let them drive mine. May still have factory manuals for the 1974 Gia that I bought new in Calif. Ex-wife still had that 5 years ago. I kept the better one.

Yep, in the summertime I have a 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 5 speed. It'll be time to get it out again in a few months and I am so looking forward to it! I've had it since 2001 and I still haven't grown tired of it, although there is days I wished it was a 2003 or 2004 Cobra.

Had an'84, '93 & 98 GT. All were alot of fun. The '98 was good up to about 80,000 miles then it fell apart. Just sold it last year.

I had two, back in the 80s. A '65, that looked sharp and sounded sharper. 302, cammed up, with hedders and a two tone blue paint job. Then a '75 Ghia with a 302. Talk about a deathtrap. Pinto weight body with a V8.

Im out of that notion now, but I still need something to drive. My old hooptie needs to be replaced.

2008 GT Convertible. Actually it belongs to my wife. Kids got out of college and I've got several tractors--it was her turn. Hey, she let's me drive it once in awhile.

My top color is black and it has grey leather interior. It was a Colorado State car before I got my hands on it so it has always been taken pretty good care of....

Dave your 150 percent correct when you said to add the stability bars thats on the to do list. I have done some research on the 351 vs 302 stuff and I was sold on the 351 not only because thats what the Cobra R's had in them but the webbing on the block is thicker thus taking more of a beating.

My parents have had a '94 GT since it was a year old and it has 180k on it and still going strong just not that pretty to look at since it spent most of its life in the Kansas sun.

Also have a '66 project car admist the rows of equipment and my 67-72 ford pickups!

The little bassturd up the road has one and if he doesn"t learn how to slow it down.....he"s not going to have one much longer.

So far as I am concerned, they"re a useless POS.....a fastback Falcon....we called"em Foul Coons back in the 60"s and 70"s......or MoPar bait. Nothing has changed.

Is "vert, supposed to be analogous to "vette? Hardly!

We have an 85 gt convt and a 95 coupe, both great fun cars. Mark, he asked if anyone had one, not for your opinion on the cars, your answer is an example of why people are getting irritated with the forums. Stay on the subject and keep your drivel to yourself. Dave

I have had two - a '65 that was my first wife's car, 6 cylinder tht was a real dog. Present car is a 2002 GT convertable, I have put 120,000 miles on it with no fixes besides brakes and tires. Probably the best car I have had in 50 years of driving.

I got a '69 F/B I've been working on for the last 2 yrs. Cut out and replaced alot of rusted steel. Got a fresh 351W waiting to go in. I built the engine first, underestimated the TIME involved to fix the rust problem. The aftermarket is amazing, with all the parts available for these cars. I was going to give it to my son, but after all this work, and the fact that he could destroy an anvil, I think I'm going to keep it for MYSELF. Jack

Hi 71Ford,....You Hit another NERVE... I also have a '72 f-150 Ford PU W/48K Miles on it 302,Auto, Custom That My Dad Bought new, it is very Special to me, Color,White on White,Original Paint.have a Goodn; Larry KF4LKU

What are going to do dave, whip my a$$? Then, bring it on.

This subject is drivel, but as long as it pertains to those of you that own a sports car wanna be, you deem it appropriate.

If you don't like them don't read its that simple. Since you seem to know all about cars you should know that 'vert means convertible go to any car forum and thats how its gonna be typed out. I guess you don't know that much if a Mustang isn't a sports carsince there any plenty out there that would murder anything short of a funny or drag car. Oh and I'm pretty proud of mine since its my money paying for it while attending school full time. Mommy and Daddy didn't hand it to me unlike your first vechicle.

Larry I think the '67-72 Ford trucks are the best bodystyle they ever had..personally have a '68 F-100, '68 F-250 2wd crewcab, '69 F-250 4x4 crewcab, 71 F-100 with a 390, and a '72 F-250 4x4 thats been rolled.

I was never really a Ford fan but The 69/70 Mach 1, I think had one of the best looking body designs on the road. Interiors were pretty slick too if they had the fold down rear seat! I think what scared me off was the huge number of mustangs I saw broke down on the side of the road back in the 60s and the major rust problems they had by the late 70s. They may have been broke down, but I was still looking at them!
