Looks like I will be getting an extra 13.00 a week for my tax credit. I emagine everybody will be getting around the same amount. What will you be doing with your extra money. I think I will take mine to the local coffee shop, and buy a round of donuts for everyone. By doing that I will be spreading my wealth around, and doing my part to stimulate the economy, may have enough left to buy a couple gal of gas for my tractor. Post is now legal. Stan

Well I put back or save to be able to pay my tax. So as a farmer I can just spend $13.00 instead of not spending so I will have enough for taxes.

Who say's the IRS aint honest???????

I was thinking about switching sides and running for a seat in the big house, so forgot to may my taxes in 07. Had an OH SH!T moment while doing 08 and knocked out 07 also. When I wrote the check, I rounded up 2 cents to an even number and sent it in. Couple of weeks later, got a thick letter with a bunch of stuff and a notice that I had overpaid and would get an explanation shortly. Another week brings another letter. Week later, I get a check in another thick letter for 2 cents. No wonder we're in debt...............

I'll save my $13.00 because the government giveth and taketh away. There's a big tax increase coming to all of us who work so "The Annointed One" can spread the wealth--like keeping those who couldn't afford the house they bought still living in it. I may buy a few gallons of gas for my tractor, a couple of new saw chains, or some rabbits or chickens. I plan to get self-sufficient real quick.

I must have missed the part about the $13wk.

From what I was reading yesterday:

$250 retires and anyone else not working

upto $500 for working stiff's with a $200k joint limit

Then there was something about $8k for 5yrs in mortgage relief if you bought a house this "year". To be claimed on sch A ??? I didn't read this one so I may be all wet on the understanding part.

I tell you what, You better save 2 weeks or more of that extra 13 bucks if you're going to buy some ammo. The cost has definently gone up. Jack

Just depends on what kind of ammo. Brass 9mm goes for as cheap as $9 a box on sale around here. Aluminum is cheaper, but I don't care for it.

Why not 20 bucks? That 13 bucks will some what cover part of the increased health care cost for this year.
Went up 42 bucks a month for insurance but, pills went up 94 % from 35 to 65 bucks per mail order bottle of 90 pills. So the big 13 is prespent.

Should look for one those so called stimulus jobs.

They gonna ad that on to every steer that I sell so it'll be in my check from the stockyard then,or what?

The promised $500 tax cut ($1,000 for couples) got reduced to $400/800, and the $13 bucks a week (goes down to $8 a week in January) is that $400/800, spread over the year. Because many people end up getting all their income tax withholding back, and thereby pay no income tax, it is being taken out of social security withholding instead. So each person's social security withholding will be $13 less, hence their paycheck will be $13 bigger. As for us self-employed folks, who don't pay until tax time, I guess we just reduce what we pay by $400, come April 15, 2010.

I take my responsibility to stimulate the economy and provide jobs very seriously, as opposed to you guys who talk about buying a round of coffee and donuts down at the Sip and Lie. I'm going to save mine up for the year, then build a steel mill. Or buy up the majority of stock of General Electric, which should be down to about 400 bucks by then, the way its going.

At 13.00 a week, half of it will go to pay the 1 dollar a pack increase in state and federal tobacco taxes.

I'm thinkin about sending my wife to the fertility clinic and getting 5-6-8 more children. Seems like the way to go!
