Was bit a year ago by a jumping spider. Picked up a box and was bit on the inside if wrist. Had small fang marks. Place turned red about three inches in diameter and got real hard. Red streaks went up arm almost to sholder. Got ok in three days. Spider wasn't but about 3/4 inch long. DH

Hello,
Last summer when walking to the garden , my sister and our Austrailian shepherd cross dog ran across a 4 foot diamond back. Sister says the snake was aggressive and the dog took a bite on the tip of the nose.....he died the next day......vet said nothing be could done.....he weighted about 65 pounds and was strong.....watch out, a rattlesnake will come after you. Have a beautiful day,
Tom

My cousin was bit by a Rattler in the early 80s - he survived but his arm "where he was bit" swelled up bigger than his leg.
My dad had a mason jar full of snake "rattles" from snakes he had killed over the years. He would usually just go up to 'em and cut their head off with a shovel.

Back when i had a full head of hair.... I lifted a concrete block up and over a 6' piece of rebar. the Widow dropped out of the 'cell' in the block landed on my chest, at the top button of the shirt. I dropped the block knocked the spider off and into my shirt. she bit me on the chest, but not bad. However down by my navel she got me again. The bite above my navel swelled up about 2-3" and looked like a mini volcano. It actually had a 'core' like a shaft down the middle. In fact i remember inserting a carpet needle down into it about 3", the length of the needle. I kept it draining. I never got sick, never died or went to the quack.
I still don't like spiders. Id rather deal with a Snaddle-rake.
