hello,i have a 2610 ford it has 3450hours on it.my question is how many hours can i expect this tractor to go before its used up. i think i have the new tractor bug. all i do is mow 5 acers and tend a small garden thanks rusty

Well, if you have taken care of it like you should have, You are about half way on it's life.
Keep it up and you should have good luck with it.

Rusty;
If the tractor is reliable, strong and leak free, why not give it a fresh paint job. You will have the same as a new tractor and one that will outlast the new one... Gene

thanks gene another question my tractor is rated @38.5 hp the new tractor i was looking at is a new tt60a its hp is 57 but its engine displacment is 179.0 my 2610 displacment is 175.0 both are2.9 3 cilynder engines. if the new tractor in not turbo. how are they getting that much horsepower out of the same motor?

Are both of those PTO h.p. figures, or one PTO, one flywheel? If your 2610 is a diesel and has had good maintainance, you should get 10,000+ hours out of it.

Rusty, dont know how old you are, but that Ford tractor will likely outlast you for your kids to fight over. I would not worry one bit about 3450 hours, just change ALL fluids, flush radiator, and run the heck out of it. Tom

The 2610 should be more like 32 PTO hp if I'm not mistaken...
It's a 10000 hour tractor if it's maintained correctly and not run to death.
Basically it'll outlast your grandkids for the amount of work you suggest.

The italian job makes it's power from the same basic displacement by turning faster. If you wanted to turn the pump up on the Ford, it'll make the power too... I just won't last as long.
