Ford 3100 series

Did Ford make a 1961 3100 series gas tractor. I have a guy that want's to swap me cash and this Tractor for my Custom Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide. I know nothing about tractors and was a aircraft and marine wrench for many years. I am disabled and can no longer ride, I mainly restore old Lionel O scale trains but I think it would be alot of fun to get into old tractors. This unit has new tires, transmision recently rebuilt, yellow in color and comes with the front bucket and rear gannon.I have seen it and it seems to operate well but I can't seem to find any info on this unit. Maybe one of you experts could help out a novice into this great field. Sorry I don't have pics or a serial # yet, I should have all this info tomorrow. Thanks guy's. Marty

I have never heard of a 3100, could it be a 3600? If it is orginal yellow maybe a industrial tractor,????? which Im not fimaliar with. I do have a Ford 4100, and I know there is a Ford 3000. hth

3100 would likely denote the 'all purpose' version of the 3000 series tractor. It would still be decaled as a '3000'... but I ~think~ 3100 would be the actual model number.
This was true of the 4000, 5000 and 7000 series tractors. '200' denoted rowcrop, '400' as Utility and '500' as industrial...
I've never heard of the 3000 AG model being refered to as a 3100, but that's the only explanation I can think of.

Mart, I like tractors and harleys. I bet your harley is worth double or triple the tractor. 3000 Ford around mich. is maybe 4500 average last time I looked. Like to have your harley. Dave
