Vetrinary meds online?

I need baytril for a chronic ear infection in my dog.
The vetrinarian is always happy to charge me an obscene amount of money to do nothing. And send me out the door with a bottle of drops.
Are there any good online sites where you can get prescription livestock meds from Mexico or something like that?

I know we used an online supply for a horse we had that came down with EPM. Vet was happy to write and fax the scrip to the online supplier and the difference in the cost allowed us to go one more round before deciding that she had to be put down.

Don't know if they've got exactly what you're looking, or if you'll need a prescription, but back when I had cattle www.valleyvet.com got a lot of my business, always had very good luck with them and they were very well priced on things.

you mite laugh but a dog groomer from mexico did this to our cocker: cleaned the dogs ears real good with iodine then he applied generously "tenactin" Yes-it worked great foot fungus medicine!

Baytril is liquid gold. Had a sick horse, 100 ml of baytril = $124.00 and I gave the injections myself.

Don"t know if you can get this without a prescription from a vet. Good luck.

Exactly..... Clean them by whatever means and use some iodine (or=) and you should be fine. We use PennicilenG or Twinpin on everything from horses to cats. After everything is clean, you can use cooking oil to keep things soft and wipe out any mites that maybe there.

Good Luck,

Hi Dj,

I used 3% hydrogen peroxide for soaking for 1/2hr then flush with mineral oil for rabbit ear mites. 2x/day .The ear would be solid with ear mites and be clear in 3 days time.

My wife was having chronic ear infections and a ENT doc said too use, 50%vinegar/50% rubbing alcohol mix for 3 days. It was some kind of very small hardshell beetle that was getting into her ear canal then would die.

Bet that's the last time she tells someone to put a bug in her ear

Sorry. Had to.

I wouldn't start any antibiotics (unless he's in real bad shape) until you clean everything and stay on it. Otherwise, the intibiotics will wear off and the wound will just infect again. Treat the cause and instead of the symptom.

Try Foster and Smith. Lots of ear infection remedies there. Just get em clean and keep em clean.
Is the residue you get out of them dark brown?

I have used Jeffers for many years. Wide variety of products for cattle, sheep, horses, goats, rabbits, you name it. Good prices, fast shipping.

Just bought the vaccines for my horses this a.m. and buy most of my other horse supplies from them, too (wormers, etc).
