MF275 Blowing Water??

I have a MF275 blowing water out the overflow, found that it does this even when cold, even at low idle.
Took the head off and head gasket has some burnt places but none that look like they go into the water jacket.
The drained water was almost black (not with oil) but looks like combustion gas maybe.
Any other ideas what this might be other than head gasket, head, or (heaven forbid) the block?
Thanks

Did you do a cylinder compression test before taking the head off??

Was it missing before?? Or heating up/overheating very quickly??

you should also post this question on the Massey Ferguson/Massey Harris (MF/MH) forum on this YT site. There a quite a few MF experts that cruise that board that can help further. Good Luck

I didn"t do a compression test before hand. It was not missing but was not running right for some time. THere was a pretty good burnt spot between the cylinder holes on the head gasket. I really didn"t see a direct path to the water jacket but may be enough to get combustion gas into the radiator.
As far as I know it was heating normal.
Thanks
