Just aquired one for my 1948 Farmall C and was wondering if they cut at 90 degrees as this would be nice for trimming small branches overhanging my trails. Thanks

If the sickle is driven by a pitman arm which will most likely be wooden your angle of cutting is very limited.

If the sickle is driven by a wobble box at the inside end of the sickle bar it will cut upside down.

Sickles bar mowers are limited to what they can cut also. Branches will most likely break the sickle sections off the bar.

You most likely need a rotary blade mower or trimmer to do what you want to do with it. Like they use to prune fruit trees with.
