Hey Hal.

Didn't know you had authors and such in your bunch. Hehehe!

Any idea how much the cook book costs? I may buy one if not to high. With the depression and all you know?

Tell him to keep those old cook books the new ones are terrible.
I do a lot of fancy cooking in different styles and I just love the old books.

My wife has her mother's old cookbook when she got married in 1916. She made a sauce with rhubarb and jello and was it ever good, but she never had the recipe in the cook book. My wife's dad would eat it over bread. Hal

Agreed on old cookbooks.

My daughter sells baked goods at farmers market. We picked up a box full of old cookbooks at an auction for a dollar once. Inside was an old French cookbook (translated to English). Well, she picked up a recipe for French bread in it and bought some appropriate pans for baking it. The French bread is her very best seller and most profitable, too.
