Wish I could have gotten to it sooner, but rain has kept everyone out of the fields until this week.

We started running alfalfa for serious Sat night late. I was going to call it done until I got what was down up but the forecast still looks decent until Sat so I may go cut a little 12 acre spot as soon as I get some more coffee in the system.

It is a 9' New Holland 1465. First time using it. Replaced an old Hesston 1091. Sure is quite compared to that Hesston.

started cutting Sunday evening ,,Ground is just finally dry enouf to disc today . no corn planted yet .... your machine is the same type style as a 489 and 492 Nh ,,. good machines , used mine since 1986,...Hope you don't mind a little advice ,,,Raise the head somwewhat to allow floating capability over rocks ,, Goood rule of thumb is to set head about 1 inch above angled main header plane ... happy haying

You also want that lean bar low enough to push the hay forward as you mow. This makes the hay go into the rollers stem first.
There are also three different drive sprockets available for the reel speed. 10, 11, 12 teeth.
