Son was busy Swathing and crimping Alfalfa and after about fifteen acres realized his cell phone was not in his pocket. He kept going and everyone started looking. They called it in hopes they might hear it ring. Finally it was given up as lost. This morning he when to field there it lay on the ground by a windrow. Talk about finding a needle in a Hay stack. How about finding a Cell Phone in a hay field.

I was getting seat time on my JD A today raking hay to help out my 74 year old neighbor. I realized I had lost my cell phone. So I shut the A down flagged my neighbor down who was running an old # 46 Internationale baler. I had him shut it down and call my cell phone. I went over to a part in the field that I had stoped to kick a deceased something or another out of the hay so it would not end up in the wind row. The baler was about 200 feet from my phone when I heard it ringing in the wind row .I did get very lucky on that one . It now stays in my pocket when running tractors from this day forward.

Lost my billfold off the tractor once, so I got a new license and draft card, (yeah, it was a long time ago)and figured it was lost for good. Next year I was cultivating that field and happened to look down at the right time. There it was, only weathered a year. Until then I had no idea in what part of the field it had been lost. Jim

You guys are lucky, my cell ended up under the rear tire of a JD 310A backhoe in snow removal duty. Warranty doesn't cover that.

When I was about 16 I lost a billfold I had won for the best electrical 4-H project at our county fair while plowing. Contained my drivers license and my life savings of about $3. I searched for an hour and plowed about an acre backwards trying to find it. No luck. It did turn up the next year, but not in very good shape. Ever since I either don't carry one or put it in the toolbox.
Same for a cell phone until I found my current case, it is very secure never lost or fallen out.

Was baling hay years ago and noticed something flipping along in front of the pickup tines. It was my son's wallet - he was raking in front of me.
