GM codes.where to find them?

Usually one of the more dedicated Chilton's repair manuals for the perticular model vehicle will have a section that tells these codes. Haines manuals also have them but IMHO I like the Chilton's better. The best is a factory service manual $$.
I say the perticular manual, what I'm refering to, covers your certain truck model ie: 1993 to 1997 Chevy 1/2,3/4,1 ton 2wd and 4wd. Or Ford etc. The more general repair manuals often don't cover certain areas you may need, or give you just enough information to cause you more problems.
 
What year model is your truck? If the truck is 1995 or older you can flash the codes by connecting terminals A and B at the diagnostic connector. 1996 and newer trucks require you to use a scan tool to read the codes. If you know the codes please email and I will help with the diagnostic's
 
I was having a little problem with the wife car, turned out to be bad fuel, but I was at a parts store and they had I think a Chiltons box that was a code book. All it had in it was the various trouble code for differing vehicle.

What code are you reading?I have a list for OBDII and should have a GM list for OBDI.You can usually find info on a particular code on google as well.
 
Thanks guys for your help. I did google and found some sites. After sifting through them I found the codes. Tha truck is a 2001 GMHD3500 with 6.5L turbo. We had a new injection pump put in last year under warranty. The dealer was a @#$%^ to say the least. Now we have more codes all pointing to the pump again. I erased all the codes and are going to try the truck first before it goes back. The pump only has 2000KM on it. The dealer said that the system had water in it and that GM would not warranty it, if it had any trace of water.After I asked him why the truck came with a water drain in the fuel filter and water in fuel system indicator,he changed his tune a little.
