Neighbor's Farm Sale

After one of the last of the farmers in my area passed away a while back. His daughters had a farm sale to sell all his tools and his supplies used in his farming operation. Most of the equipment was old and wore out, and was over priced by the consignment people putting on the sale. I did buy some of his nuts, and bolts for a 1.00 a box, good us made stuff. There was a Farmall H I was thinking about until I saw the price of 1,350.00 Someone did but it, It had a froze motor. I guess that is what will happen to my stuff when I'm gone. It was a little sad to see all his stuff from horses to tractors being sold, but you can't take it with you. stan

I plan on building a very large Crip up on the hill (you can do that in Oregon) and have all my stuff stored in it and a nice place for me and the wife.
I'm taking it all with just like King Tut did.

I agree that it is sad at times and those consignment people get a bit crazy most the time. Got to wear I hardly go to any estate sale.
But you know... when you look at what the guy had and it is mostly junk. That seems to make it sadder cause that was all he had. Must have been tough time for them.
