Hey,
Some of you may remember my little china made Buck knife rant. Anyway, got a package the other day with 2 of the USA version of thier Stockman knife with little leather clip pouches. Emailed them a thank you and asked for an invoice. reply was to the effect of glad you're satisfied.. enjoy the knives. Kinda feel a little like an a$$ now

What a deal! Send them a real thankyou!
Along with that thread, was there a discussion about sharpening knives? Some comments were made about "oiling" the stone, but nobody said what kind of oil should be used. Is there a special oil to be used on the stone for sharpening, or just plain motor oil?

I wouldn't do nothing you were right in asking for what you paid for.
{American quality} your Thanks were enough.

A light oil is all you need. Can be Veggie oil or anything else on your shelf. Works best when the stone is saturated with oil. You'll know it's to that point when the oil doesn't soak in anymore.

Daughter in law gave me one and went to cut some jammed hay on my round baler with it. Stuck the knife in and pulled it across and the blade broke off clean as a whistle. I'll stick with my case's.
