Help on Case 580ck

Can't seem to find much info. here with the searches and nothing in the serial #'s in the Case section. Serial # is 8350996. It appears to be a clutch model of shuttle, I hope. In front of shifter on the left is a shuttle shift connected to lever by steering wheel and on the right is a lever which might be to change range? I can't run and sort things out due to oil in coolant. Any general opinions on these tractors (gas)?

I have an older 580CK. On my tractor the left lever is the shuttle as you suspected. The right lever is the throttle, there is also a foot throttle. There are 4 speeds and that is the end of the gear selection on my tractor. The tractor also does not have a clutch but has a hydraulic actuated torqueconverter for lack of a better explaination.

I've got an old ('71, I seem to remember) diesel 580 CK; left lever is shuttle, which clutch must be depressed to move. Right lever is throttle. Eight speed (4 x 2).........

Thanks for the reply. The lever on the right is down on the tranny and has the feeling of some type of shifting action, at the steering column is a hand throttle. On the left of the bellhousing is an inspection plate and I think the throwout bearing can be viewed. I had it off today but needed a flashlight for better viewing. Was this tractor made with two types of shuttle hydraulic and mechanical? Where can I find Case ser. #'s to find age?
