O/T prices in Indiana

My wife is taking a trip to Indiana next week and was wondering what marlboro cigarette prices were there. Was gonna bring some with her but didn"t want to carry on the plane. OK, so we are country folks right? Well we can grow tabacky. You can buy papers in the bulk I would guess. How hard would it be to grow your own.

Marlboro wasn't around in Jefferson or Washingtons day and tobacco was big business then.

Course we are kinda short on slaves now, so guess we would have to use Imigrants from elsewheres.

How was that for PCness? Imigrants from elsewheres, jeeze, I crack myself up sometimes.

It makes no difference if they are $51, $151 or $251 a carton, they're going to continue to buy them regardless of the price.....cigarettes and pepsi is what people live on here in KY. I live 9 miles from town and I watch my neighbors make several trips a day up and down the road.......there isn't but one place they can be going....as there is no other place to go!.....they're on their way to town to get "a pack of cig-ur-ettes and a bottle of pop". I just don't understand why they don't buy a carton of the damned things and a 24 pack of cola and not waste the time and gas of running back and forth......but then again.....that gives them an excuse to run the roads...somewhere to go, to see the bright lights of the quickie mart.......BFD! The vast majority of them on some kind of government relief and wouldn't work in a pie factory as a taster. I can see'em digging through the couch cushions or raiding their kids piggy banks for a pack of Smoke-O's and a Mountain Dew...if they found enough coins or robbed their kids, they'll get a couple scratch offs.....and a gallon of gas, of course. Shiftless bums, ought to be horse whipped and neutered!

Two weeks ago they were more expensive than buying at discount places in Illinois

If i am going to drive some where to get a thirst quencher it sure won"t be soda pop. I prefer some ethanol in my thirst quenchers.

They spend their money just like it comes in. You probably have some excess money so when you see the pop in 24 packs for $6 dollars you grab a couple and the smokes are $51 a carton so you have enough for several days. I do the same thing. In fact I don't smoke so I have $51 extra dollars if I want to buy a case of pop! Lot of people live life a dollar at a time and buy their pop for $1 a can or $24 dollars a case. That is why dumb people stay broke all the time.

Might be a little higher but not much. If she was drive'n I'd say stop in the middle. Even with the last tax hike KY still has some of the cheapest smokes around.

Lord knows I've grown enough over the years, but taking it from the barn to the tube & lighter will all be new to me.

Dang, sometimes I wish I hadn't quit..reading these posts make me think this is one of those times.
