International Trucks

I hate too hear that.I've always had a soft spot for IH trucks. Still being built American but not USA if this is so. I've had a few IH Trucks in my time.
 
Grampa called his 36 1 1/2 Ton IH a Cornbinder because it was so noisy to drive. I wonder what they will call the Mexican made IH.

probably the same quality as the rest of the planned obsolescense junk we as consumers are forced to deal with. My 59 BC-162 was built in America and it hauled wheat this cutting as it will this coming planting. It was designed and built to last, not to deteriorate on a well planned curve.
 
Meskin mobile, complete with dingleberry hanging CD option, fur lined 5th wheel, shag carpeted sleeper, etc.
 
Nothing wrong with International,or Intersmashable whatever you prefer.My guess is that they are building them there to get rid of possible unionized labour to avoid the same problems GM are going through?Just my un-edicated guss anyways.
 
Back up here 2 seconds. IH and the union (The CAW) are not seeing eye to eye in Ontario. Result: Truck production of those 2 models is in Mexico as well as some production in Springfield Ohio. IH also build trucks in Garland Texas. Next comment. I have not seen any of you discuss the end of the G M truck line which IH wanted to buy but with G-M union agreeman at that ime it was a no go. So the end of this month wave "Good By " to G-M trucks.
 
Live right here near whear the Peterbuilt WERE
built in Nashville but run IH and have for years. Think Maybe I have 3 or 4 of the mexico rigs stil in warranty but haven,t noticed any diffrent in workmanship from the canadian or us models. For our use The navistar just offers
the better truck for the money and we do have a good dealer near by. Own 19 have drivers on 17
usuall b uy 3 ever year so they stay around about 6 yrs 150,000 or so miles a year local and long haul.
