Ford Dearborn Tractor Model 14-4

My father-in-law passed away recently and his widow needs to sell his tractor. She is wanting to determine a fair price for it and locate a buyer. The owner's manual still hasn't been located but she knows the tractor is over 20 years old. The SN is 34140. Can the year of manufacture be determined from this information? Any ideas on the value?

Laura---sorry to here about your father-in-law. You may be served better by jumping down to the Ford Discussion Board below.

If you can post a picture of the tractor, someone either here or on the Ford Board will certainly be able to I.D. your tractor.

If you let us know where the tractor is located, we can give you a better idea on what you should be able to get for a price.
Age, sheet metal condition, if running or not, tire condition, accessories and options will all play a factor in what you can get for the tractor.

Good luck ---hope you get top buck for it.

Dearborn and Model 14-4 belong to an implement and not a tractor and anything with that on would be made between 1948 and 1954 and a tractor model that would have been made at the time that implement was made would be either an 8N from 1948 to 1952 or a NAA in either 1953 or 1954

I have been given additional information re: the tractor. it is a 1951, model 8N. the SN on the engine was 374421. it has a snow plow and a bush hog. routine maintenance has always been performed and it currently runs. my brother-in-law is going to send me a picture of it to post along with what information we do have to help with the appraisal process. i appreciate all the help with this process. thanks to everyone who helped.
