I mean, it's a logic/self preservation thing.

Two loads of wheat still standing in the field that needs to be combined.

161 round bales that need to be rounded up, stacked and hauled home. Another 110 acres of hay that needs to be dropped on the ground. Then, 'bout 400 acres of summer fallow to go over.

It's raining. :>(

Just tryin' to keep my sanity so I ran some new iron.

Yeah, I'm bored. :>(

Allan , I dont think I ever heard you complain about to much rain .Were getting just enough here in Indiana to keep ya out of the hay field , Have a storm moving in now . Way behind on 2nd cutting .

I have to agree but it would be nice to get a inch every 7 days instead of a half every 3 , We could nt buy a rain this time last yr. from a empty bucket to a full tub .

Its a shame we can't swap weather- we hit 102 degrees yesterday, forecast is 103-106 today. All time high here is 104. Humidity 90% plus, its already 95 degrees at noon. Have had 2/10 of an inch of rain since May 15.

Weather is just plain upside down- Bismarck, ND predicted high of 69 degrees would be their all-time low "high" temp for this day in history.

I'm not complainin' too much- I've got "triple air conditioning"- home, office and car- we'll probably be hosting our kids and grandkids for the next couple of days.

Mike, where do you live? I live SE of Spokane. We had a little rain from the thunderstorm last night, and our temps have been pretty moderate. I don't think we have got up to 95 yet this year. Not too bad!

Farmer + electric guitar = shockin' and rollin'.

What, do you have really long hair and go around saying "what's up dude" to everyone? Or is there another side of you we don't know about.

Chehalis, about halfway between Portland and Seattle. Postscript: Officially 108 here yesterday, 110 in nearby Winlock. "Cooler" today- only around 100.

Not much air conditioning over here- lots of folks are suffering- all the public buildings are setting up "cooling stations". Manager of the local Home Depot said he'd never seen so many "customers" buying so little.

I didn't think it ever got that hot over there, but my daughter lives in the U-district of Seattle, and they have been suffering with record 102 degree temperatures. And humidity.

Over here on the East side, we usually have several days of 100+ temperatures about this time of year, but so far, it hasn't been that hot.

My daughter lives in an apartment with no air conditioning, and says very few of the local apartments are so equipped. Not so good!

Luckily, we have central air conditioning, so our house is always a nice temperature. A swamp cooler works well here too, since most of the time our humidity is low when the temperature outside is hot. I wish I could get a window air conditioner for my daughter, but we have heard that there are none left for sale in Seattle. My wife is going to Seattle next week. Maybe we will have to buy an air conditioner here and send it over there.

Good luck! Hope it cools down soon.
