Transistor regulator replacement for 6V pos gnd generators?

My 70D is infrequently used and I am tired of dirty and sticking voltage regulator contacts. Does anyone know of a solid-state replacement for the original mechanical/relay regulator? I know some 50's and early 60's cars had 6 volt positive ground systems with generators too... it does not have to look identical on the outside since it's not a show tractor.

thanks

See if Jim at Agri Services in New York www.wiringharnesses.com has them?? He has the solid state cutout relays but a full fledged VR Im just not sure, kinda doubt it.

Thanks! that is just what I was looking for... can someone tell me the difference between A and B field connections though?

a and b--one feeds the external field terminal a ground, the other version feeds the field terminal the ungrounded battery voltage. can't remember which is which.
