deal on filters ?

We use a lot of fuel filters,wix# 3166;mostly on fords, mf's, and longs. Is there a place to buy them in bulk? My local parts stores don't want to talk anything off list.....terrible!!! any source of good prices in bulk?
 
Bser, my local Carquest store has a filter day once a year. Filters can be booked then at substantial savings over list. I would imagine that other parts stores do the same thing at times. Mike
 
Try e-bay. Not sure what you pay per filter, but there is an auction for a case that equals 5.67 a flter after shipping. There are some auction where the more you buy the cheaper shipping is. I bought 4 cases of Wix filters last winter for almost half the price as going to NAPA.

I also believe your filter crosses to #33166.

Napa sells Wix brand filters. Going by your 4 digit number, it sounds like a Napa filter, Wix filters are normally 5 digit. Napa sells some filters in master pack cases. Just ask for the filter number you want, but add an MP to the end. You have to buy them in cases, usually 6 or 12 per case, depending on the size of the filter. The MP's are cheaper and they come in a plastic wrapping instead of in a box. Also, Napa is normally cheaper than any Wix dealer, because Napa buys in such volume. If there are any Baldwin dealers around, try them. Last time I checked prices at work for Napa and Baldwin, Baldwin was 30 to 50 percent cheaper, and they are of comparable quality.

Just go to your local Case IH or New Holland dealer and ask about fleetguard filters. I am sure they would love to have your business. They would probably cut you a deal if you bought in bulk. I know I would.
 
It seems to me that you'd get the old CAV filter from FleetGuard, by the case for about 5 bucks each... perhaps less. I think I priced them a few months ago, but can't remember for sure.
They always used to be prett cheap from NH too.. Something like 6 or 7 bucks each.
