In my wisdom last year, I installed RED loctite around a troublesome seal in a spool of an old MF202 backhoe. Of course a year later the seal blows and needs to be removed. But how???
Any tricks to soften up the loctite?

depends on how big a hunk of metal you are heating.

Propane heat will get sucked up pretty quick on a big hunk of steel and not heat the area you want to heat hot enough.

Most Loctite will soften at about 300 degrees. There are some like the green, sleeve and bearing retaining Loctite that is supposed to be good to 600 degrees.

Knock the seal out with a hammer and punch, then remove any remaining Loctite with a razorblade.

SIMPLE, eh!
