I have a 1953 d4 dozer that was running great, then all of a sudden one track lost power, I can only steer one way and when im pushing a load it wanders hard right.

I had one of my A/C tractors do that same thing. The track still turned, but had no control over it. The stearing clutch pack failed. All the splines tore off the fiber clutch plates, where they enter the brake drum. You may want to post this on the crawler section, may get a better answer. Stan

You should check your stering cluch adjustement
and if the adjustement is correct you have the top pinion brook or I see on time the sprocket center was brook.

with both tracks off the ground, dozers up in the air with blocks under it, only the left track spins.right track is not spinning at all.

It's been over thirty years since I worked on a Cat, but it sounds expensive to me. Gotta be something in the steering clutch.
