No hook up on the 706 but I guess I could have had my son redrill the hitch bar for a ball .Any way it's made for a truck hitch. This unit was built from scratch by my son and I. Will split a log while the log is laying in the horizontal position, while the splitter rail is in the vertical mode. Log splitter is a 30 ton unit and it sure saves the back, arms, shoulders, hands and all fingers. Notice the red color and the silver paint. Just like the 706 tractor colors. Thought I would mention that just for Dave 2, so he wouldn't get on my case.lol. Looks like we are just in time for the snow.Still no delivery of wood yet. Gonna drag some from the woods tomorrow. Are all of you ready for winter???

there is a smaller hole about 6 inches forward of the main hole on the 706 drawbar. Get a metal plate, bore holes in it to fit the drawbar, and put the ball on the back. no mod needed to the drawbar and easily changeble

Found the hole in draw bar. Your right. Now can tow it to the woods. snow here today and with the wind blowing off the trees it looked like a blizzard out side. My son got the wood furnance hooked up and fired it up yesterday. Outside temp was 28/o inside after a short while the thermometer read 74o. Nice working in heat and dry bldg. Wondering where indian (excuse me native american) summer is. Splitter was another father & son project that comes with a long list of other projects. Hope more to come. !
Keep warm . Reguards.

Nice job on the splitter there guys. Looks really well thought out. Especially like the vertical splitting option. Have a good one.
