charging system, 601 ford workmaster

have a 3amp current draw on the generator amrature line with the key switch turned off. this has a red light in the charging system and with the key off it's on. i have checked it out and it don't figure. need to know if anyone has a ele print for this unit. it's a 1958.

Probably a If it is an alternator, it has a diode going bad. The diode pack can be replaced easily if you can find one. If it is a generator, the regulator field relay is probably stuck giving the B circuit generator field current when it should not be connected. JimN
