Gonna pop THE Question revisited....

Well, sorry I couldn't let you all know sooner, but she did say Yes! We are Looking to get married potentially in June 2011 in a little country church two miles up the road from the home farm. We are both farm kids. I am actually 23, and a graduating senior at Iowa State University. She is 25 ,and works for Cargill and attends night classes for Business Administration. As I said, she works full-time for Cargill, and I am farming 240 acres and finising fat cattle. There are also poultry and swine enterprises on the farm. She is very enthusiastic about the livestock on the farm, and has proven herself to be excellent help around the farm. We want to sincerely thank EVERYONE for their excellent advice. It was very enjoyable to read through everyones posts. I will try and make a point to start posting some pictures from around the farm, and I must commend billonthefarm, as he does an excellent job. God Bless you all, and have an excellent evening!

Whew!!! I thought she said no Hadn't heard from you. Just thinking about it today, and thinking of posting .----Congrats to both of you.

Good for you! 34yrs for us next February. We have had our "times" but are still together.
All the very best to you and the future Mrs.
God Bless,
Rex

CONGRATS!!!!!!

Finding a good woman is very hard, finding a good woman who likes farm life well that's a one in a million! The wife and I have only been married 17 months but I thought I had found the last one, glad there was one more for you!!

Dave

Congrats!! A woman that will pitch in and help with chores--any kind--is worth more than some glamour doll who's afraid to break a nail. Some are lucky and get both. My best wishes to both of you.

Lets give this a real good think. You are getting married to a young attractive gal, and you offer pictures of the farm to a bunch of old men? Whats up with that?

Just a kiddin as usual, everyone of my friends tell me I take things to far. So don't get upset, my whole family and comunity enjoy stah-pid-ety.

It is nice to know the farms are being taken over by some young family teams. In our parts I can only think of one this last year that commited to farming. All the rest are being taken over by the established larger scale farmers.

You may at this point want to repeat your wifes name over and over as you sleep, and take a class on remembering her birthday, aniversary etc. Oh yea, and never forget the date of meeting her, and the event that took place yeasterday.

Here is a hint---make a poem of all these dates and how important they are to you---bla bla bla. Make certian the paper you write it on is big enough to frame.....It will be posted on your bed room wall where you can glance at it from time to time if you notice a emotional change / cold shoulder. In the lower cornner of the poem, write the number of the florist also.

Treat her the next fifty years like you treated her last night, and all will be well.
