I recently purchased a wagon running gear / chassis that had an aluminum Serial Plate that read: Electric Wheel Co., Quincy, ILL.
Model: 5025-A
Serial: J-435917
I would appreciate if anyone would happen to have information about it. Year built, etc.??
It was painted Oliver Green with White Wheels. A decal with the Model # 5025-A with White Letters on Black was also on it. Thanks, Pete [email protected]

the owner of Balsters was buried today. do not know what will happen to Balsters now. that picture is one of about a dozen of their warehouses.

I would say it has been repainted sometime. I think all the Electric wagons sold as Olivers were painted red also. We had a 5026(?) gear that was red. It was probably one of the last Oliver gears sold.

Do you have any info on his death? Post a copy of his obit. Crescent was a supplier of tillage parts to him. Thanks Earl

The Electric gears were sold as Oliver with a lot of them Green, all that I have seen were green. Same as Yetter gears that were red and in all of the thousand + manuals I have someplace I have some thing on that model. Would take a year to find it tho.

Early ones were red and yellow (and maybe some green in there too). Then meadow green and white. The very last ones (74-75) were red and white but were technically White products. After 1975 White dumped everything but tractors, tillage, corn planters and combines.

My dad purchased an Electric Wheel wagon chassis after 1965 to mount a propane nurse tank on. It was a dark red with white wheels. Actually think it was bought after 1970 but can't say for sure.

My father bought a new one about 1950 took the short
tractor pole off and put along wooden one on for the horses. It was green the wheels were red. bought
a 1951 Ford 8N and put the short pole back on.

Yes EWC was owned by Firestone( I do not know when they took over) and was closed by Firestone, then was bought by Can-Am, then bought and operated as Titian Wheel, now Titian Tire and Wheel who owns Titian Tires and Goodyear off road tires.
