Honey locust honey

Anyone ever taste honey locust honey? Those long seed pods have a sticky, sweet liquid that taste somewhat like honey , at least they did when I was a kid. Of course, kids sixty or so years ago would eat most anything that had a sweet taste.

Honey locust honey is sorta like paw paws , the first taste is pretty good, but it goes down hill fast from there.

I never got past the stickers to taste the beans.
I did however smoke a grape vine one day. If you missed out on smoking a grapevine, just wire brush your tounge to duplicate the experience.

i have been lookin at getting a couple of paw paw trees for the orchard, they look interesting an the way they are described sounds like it would taste pretty good, what is you alls thoughts on it. the only thing that bothers me is there habit of groving, i dont think i like that very well sence its right beside my pasture

I don"t think a paw paw is all that great. After eating good apples or pears, it just doesn"t cut it. I think they"re neat as native fruiting tree though. They grow great in an area of deep black soil in a gulley of mine.
