I just bought these guns last night at a auction. What ya think.

1. The top one: Is a Ithaca MDL 66 20 Gg, 2 ¾ ‘’hammer leaver action single shot “The leaver opens the chamber” it has a ammo boot on the stock with ammo in it, it also has fiber optic front sight And elevated sights in the back. I paid $ 75.00 for it

2. The bottom one: Is a Beretta Adopted in 1893 with a triangular folding bayonet this weapon made in the USA for the Italian ARMY WW II. War. I bought 4 clips with it. The cal. Is 6.5 mm or M-91
By the way they both fire. I paid $110.00. For this one.

I thought you might like to see them. This is two guns of many that I collect

I wish I could find deals like that. I paid almost $300.00 for a K31 swiss recently with the transfer fees & shipping. The last auction had a wall hanger with parts missing that brought $100.00. Where are you?

The Ithaca is a nice gun. I got one for my son about 30+ years ago. It was a .410. They havn't been made in quite awhile. The other one, what company in the U.S. made it?

I picked up a brother to your Ithaca for my uncle a couple years ago for $60, IIRC. Bought 3 guns that day - all I had the cash for. Bought a 12 ga. auto (for a cousin - dont remember brand or price)and a like-new Marlin 70HC w/3 clips for $75. They were going cheap. Every auction with guns that I've been to since, the guns have gone sky-high.

Had the 12-gauge version of the Ithaca--paid $75 for it as well quite a few years ago. It rode quite a few miles on tractors for pecking woodchucks, coyotes, etc. My front sight was not fiber-optic--it looked like it but was just plastic, which is what they came with. Actually quite accurate with slugs, however--handy little gun, particularly at that price. Sold it to a guy that wanted it worse than I did and was willing to make it worth my while to part with it.

Can not tell for sure but that bottom one looks a lot like my Mosin Nagant Russian 762X54. Clip opening and bolt look just like what my gun has

You all sound like the folks that were spoken of in the last campaign. You know, them rednecks who cling to their guns and religion.
I'm glad to be in such good company.

I'm guessing the guns were for the royalist resistance forces who were loyal to the king (who was in exile during Mussolini's time).

Ya now it dose say crcano on it. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM
what ya think, but that one did not have a bayonet on it I dont think.

take that 6.5 carcano and shot it at 100 yards at a 4x8 sheet of plywood and i'll bet the bullet will hit sideways they don't shoot worth a darn have one in the gun cabinet you can have

That doesnt make sense that the USA would make guns for the Italian army in WW2. That Beretta looks like it went through the trenches in WW2 too.

The bore diameter for the 6.5 carcano is .268 to .271 and all the over the counter bullets you buy is .264. Graf and sons sells the proper diameter for hand loading- you won't believe the accuracy. -mike

I have one like the Beretta. It shows no country of orgin. Says 6.5 on the barrell. Anyone know where the ammo (6.5) can be bought. I had it for over twenty years and never fired it.

A K31 Swiss army rifle is seriously worth that much? I have one in the gun cabinet that we used growing up for a backup gun while deer hunting. Maybe I will have to sell it, Lord knows the deer were always long gone by the time you got the safety off anyway.

I have bought a lot of 6.5 for other friends from both of them, I have all so been told pro-bass but
I do not know that for a fact.
But you can bet when the weather gets better I will be heating up the barrel.
Stay safe shoot down range.

I have two Carcano's in 6.5MM. One is a rifle, and the other is a carbine. I have a scope mount for the carbine, as well as clips for both. These are clips, as they are thin sheet metal "outlines", and not a real magazine as such. Reminds me of the stripper clips we used for the M-16's. I like both of them, and good out to about 100 yards. I have not purchased ammo in about 15 years, but it can be purchased already loaded, and much easier (and probably cheaper) than trying to get gear to re-load. I bought one when I was real young, and shot it all the time. It was about 4-5 years after the Kennedy assassination. They were cheap then too, guess folks just wanted to get rid of them. I think the first one was about $30.00, and the other two (almost 30 years later) were $40.00 for the carbine, and $45.00 for the rifle, because it had the bayonet. They have survived a house fire, unblemished (no more than they were), and still shoot good.

Used to shoot skeet with a fellow who had an Ithaca lever action. The gun has a weak extractor so he couldnt shoot reloads. This was in the early 60s.The rifle is Italian made.

All farmers I know have a strong interest in fire arms.I have 3 military rifles, 2 winchester 94s, 3 muzzle loaders and several 22s and shot guns.

Italy was part of the Axis. But the realized they were gonna get their asses kicked, so they hung their dictator leader, and his mistress, and switched sides.
