Does anyone else STILL ride 3-wheelers...

The reason I asked, I came across a pretty cool site while looking for info on our 350X. Its not got a lot of registered users yet, a little over a hundred, & I believe its only been up a few months. But anyway, I was clicking around & saw they had the service manual for the 350x....& a little more clicking, they also had the man. for my old 200e(pre-Big red).
I went ahead & DL`ed the 200e serv. man. lastnite, a little over 55 Mb & I`ll admit it took about 45 min. (we do have dsl, but the slower package).
I just thought I`d let you folks know where you can get your manuals, for Free....now I am perty sure you have to register, but...there you have it!!!....& NO, I`m not the site owner nor, 1 of the mods....just wanted to throw that info out there to those that still have the old Honda trikes!
Have a good day & stay warm, its freak`n cold here in So. Il.!!!!!!

My neighbour up the road still uses a Honda 350 every summer. When he was still hunting, he loved it - said with good tires he'd never get stuck - so light.
My father-in-law has a Honda 250 in the garage, but rarely uses it.

Two 200X and one 250R, but hardly ever ride....old legs got spoiled by electric start on Wolverine. Definite yes on that maneuverability in the woods though!

i would if i had one, i rode 3 of them into the ground between 1970 and 1981, never had a 4 wheeler, ''being old is when you thought you looked cool on a honda 90 lol''

e had a little (maybe 50, 70, don't remember) and more people got hurt on it than on the bigger 200, 250's!!! Go figger?

Hundreds of the Honda 185's, 200's, and Big Reds still in use here in northern NY--they're nearly indestructible and much handier for 1-person loading and woods driving (particularly the later ones with reverse) than a larger machine. Also see quite a few of the 90's, 110's, and the occasional 250R and 350X (both of which have cult followings and routinely sell for more than they did new) plus a few of the Yamaha Trimotos.

Yamaha Tri-Z 250. Used to ride the sand dunes on it some at Waynoka,OK.

Yamaha 200 here, too. Got it new in 1983. I was 11 years old. Chubby little guy I was, my dad made me a deal - lose 35 pounds, he'd get me the three-wheeler. I did it. 11 years old.

I first saw it in my dad's Pennsylvania Farmer magazine. 2 page spread, full color, love at first sight. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Still have it, never abused it, clean out the carb every now and again. We were tooling around with it last summer.

we have an 85 350x that I ride, hard starting but runs like a cut cat once it starts, my 12yr. old son rides a black seat 200x, starts -20F with 1 or 2 kicks, must be hopped up a little as it has alot more nuts than many 200's I have ridden. We go ice riding/hill climbing on the Sioux River in SD but this year the ice is poor/rough and it's been cold. I don't like going unless it's 20f above.

A 1980 185 big frame still has original tires and just started on second cam chain and drive chain.

Problem with some of small ones was no differential on back axle, solid axle had good straight ahead traction with both wheels getting power. Problems developed when trying to do high speed turns on firm ground- think road gear turn with differential lock engaged on tricycle/narrow front tractor=flipover. The original use as a rice paddy cheap small tractor with slow speed turns and driven by farmer was modified in US as a recreational vehicle/toy with higher speed gearing--add ethanol =disaster in making. Local cycle and snowmobile salvage yard has a old Honda 90(?) 3wheeler with solid axle yet, they put back old domestic market rear sprocket and hitch copy, makes a handy little cheap towing device for yard and shop- its original design use. Have a Honda 250sx bought new about time the family quit ridding and 4 wheelers came out.
At least 20 = years old and still runs perfect.
Have 2 KUBOTA rtv s but when I want to get rough
in the woods it is the 3 wheeler that comes out.
67 years of age now so not hardely as wild as I
was when got the Honda.

I have a Honda Big Red 250ES 1985 model still in regular use. VERY handy Tyres are so big that it floats over marsh where I sink over my wellies if I get off. Bit of a b*gger reversing a trailer with only a single steering wheel though!

Hey, I had a Honda 90 and thought I was the coolest thing this side of the Duke boys back in about '79!!!!

My son acquired an old 110 Honda a couple years back..riding that thing sure brought back some old memories, but I had totally forgotten how rough riding they were with no suspension whatsoever other than the tires!

We own one and the wife rides it just to get the mail. 2 lbs of air in the tires . neat Machine, just wish it had reverse.

I've got a '87 Honda 250 SX three wheeler that I've been riding for close to 14 years, and I love it. They stopped making them because they were supposed to be so dangerous but like any other ATV they are only as dangerous as the rider is careless or clueless about how to ride one. The worst thing about them is trying to ride where a bunch of 4 wheelers have been and gotten the trails rutted. The straight streches aren't that bad but if you don't find the right groove in the turns it'll throw your butt off in a heartbeat....been there done that.....and have a scar to prove it.....well technically it wasn't a rut that threw me, it was a big root, and the subsequent hitting of a split rail fence, but I did get a nice scar on my first encounter with a 3 wheeler.......

I've had ridden may times with groups of 4 wheelers and so far have never had a problem going the same places they went....except for the 4WD ones, and they are alot better in the mud.....

I still ride my 82 Yamaha 175 Trimoto.
Neither of us will win a prize.
I can keep up to the 500cc 4wheelers on the long straight-aways.
