The only people that genetic engineering benfits are the people selling genetically engineered products. There are no yield advantages, in fact there are yield depressions, you must buy ALL their technology and in spite of all their reassurances, they have no idea what the long term effects will be.
The rest of the world doesn't want these products. The people that have created these products think they are saving the world and they are headed in exactly the wrong direction. It only helps big farms to get bigger and because of commodity price swings, it's their only hope; to keep getting bigger.
I'll argue this with anybody.
These products will put even more people off their farms.

"They" said that iron plow shares would poison the soil too. And increased yields would cause lower prices and hurt the farmers.

Genetic engineering happens every spring and summer when plants cross pollinate.

There should be a law against it.

i agree with bill i planted 30 acres rr beans the first year Dekaulb had them next year went all rr on beans, year later went rr corn and stayed RR till i retired 2 years ago best corn and beans i ever raised

You are certainly in tune with the European common market and the President of Uganda. Remember, a couple of years ago, Uganda suffered a famine and the US sent an immense tonnage of grain which was stored in sheds, only problem was that the President[UG} decreed it would not be used because it was modified and he and his subjects [ because of his decision] would rather starve.
Don't know what happened to it.
The US has used modified for 10 years now.. what are the results?

You are completely wrong. Cross pollination is a cross between 2 of the same species. Such as my dog. Half beagle half walker hound. A genetically modified organism is a cross between 2 separate organisms. Such as RR corn. A cross between a algae(I believe) and corn.

If that was a brunette carrying the ear of corn she would have laid it on the moving escalator hand rails instead of trying to carry it.

Since she is a blond instead of a brunette I have to ask---isn't the UP escalator always on the right hand side? No wonder she appears to be struggling.
