OT: larger pics on Craigslist

Does anyone know how to post larger pictures on Craigslist ads? I know there are others on here who use it, and I have seen some ads with pictures three or four times the size on screen of the standard Craigslist template, and of course much clearer and better looking. I've got some nice pictures of a mandolin I built but when I put them up and they are so small they look kind of blurry. Thanks very much for any advice.

original digital pic has to have lots of megapixels, my older camera saves them roughly 1.5meg file size, newer camera will go 5megs or so

these size files take forever to upload so I use editing software to clean up the pic and then save in lower quality format, file size will drop to about 400k, picture still looks good

Zach, how about showing us a large picture of your mandolin? I assume you are a picker?

Every time I have seen it, the poster was actually linking to images hosted somewhere else using the HTML IMG tag, not actually uploading the photos to Craigslist itself.

Thanks, that makes sense. I don't know much about computers, so I just see that they appear without realizing that they're coming from somewhere else. I'll have to look into where to put them so I can do that.

Paul, I'm not much of a picker on the mandolin, but I hope to learn. I do have fun with the guitar and banjo. I'll post a couple of pics. The mandolin I finished last summer, and the banjo last fall. They'd both been in the works for a while. Do you pick too?

Very good looking instruments Zach. You're quite a craftsman. I like the three piece front on the mandolin. I'm curious about the wood species that you used on both the mando and the banjo.

I play a guitar at a tolerable level, mostly in church, assisted living centers, house parties and such. I also like to tinker with the banjo and mando, but not always as tolerable to listen to, ha.

I own a fiddle. My fiddle playing stinks.

Keep up the good work Zach. I enjoy your posts.

By the way, my grandson's name is the same as yours (I may have already told you that). He plays drums and guitar.

Thanks very much. The mandolin soundboard is western red cedar, two scraps I had that were enough to make into three and glue together. I don't know why the color is different, I've never been to where they grow or heard much about it. The neck is hard maple and the rest of it is curly red maple. The banjo is cherry throughout, except for the bridge and nut which are hard maple. I have a fiddle too and I'm trying to learn, but it sure is an uphill battle.
