Wow , what a great day, bright sun, clear blue skies and a VERY light NW wind. We have now surpassed 60 inches of snow and also new record for consecutive days with over 4 inches of snow cover (I think its 60 some) Here are some pics after the maintainer went (finally). WE are supposed to get another blast this weekend.

You gotta love winter makes you appreciate summer and no offense better you than me we've had 12" so far but with the wind in my housing area most all of the neighbor's has wound up in my driveway looks like your pictures.

So nice looking when its fresh and clean. When it gets dirty and melted is when the beauty wears off.

I remember 60" of snow I think we went over that in December. 196" as of Today here.

Okay you guys, all 3 of you talk about all the snow but we have no idea where all this snow is??????

North Central Iowa , this is on top of lots of old snow that shrunk down when we had a few warm days a while back. And yes there is alot of ice under it in many places. Calling for below zero again tonight.

Wrigleys no where to be found so it can't be around Farmington, Illinois. Wonder what billonthefarm is up to?

PS: Couple of months dragging/pushing snow sure takes the "fun" outa it, don't it?

I'm getting tired of the snow also. With the beef cattle chores to do, but the wife does the chores while I am out on the township roads. It is getting deep in places and running out of room to put it.

I will be glad when it is melted and gone but a little aprehensive for fear of flooding if it goes too fast. We already have a lot of subsoil moisture. There is a lot of unfrozen ground under the first layer so mud will also be an issue, guess we will take what is dealt and try to make the best of it.

Kruser, You got that right, the first time or two was kinda fun but that is wearing a little thin by now, sometimes I think I am moving snow in my sleep.

I am sooo glad I don't live where that knd of stuff happens!! We got about 1" about a month ago. Supposed to get a couple more tonight. Inches that is.

gotta agree with you on that. a slow melt would for sure be best for you all to avoid flooding. hate to say it though im thinking with a slow melt so as to not cause any problems it could be june or july before you people see your feilds or grass

good luck to ya all down east. rocko

Nice looking Oshkosh, looks like its earning its keep and putting money in your pocket. Around here we don't use the blades until march or april, try to use snowblowers that way a 4' drift stays a 4' drift, but it is a slow way to clean roads.
