CLTX, that was what I was thinking when I read the title... Glad it was a nice pic though :) Kind of looks like a shot from Central Texas today. This is the most snow I've seen since I've been here, for 30 years!! It's also the most times it has snowed in a year period, 3 so far. The first was the first weekend of December, a couple of weeks ago, and then today. We have more on the way this evening, and freezing temps. It looks good, but this transplanted Yank ain't going to the Demo Derby here! :) Ya'll enjoy and be safe!

I asked the kids in the last period class how many had never seen snow, except for the dusting last Dec. 4th. About half a dozen raised their hand. When those big flakes started coming down, I let a few at a time stand in the hall for a few seconds, so they could see the snow falling. (no windows in the interior classrooms). You could feel the excitement throughout the high school. By the time school was out, it was a mixture of rain and sleet, no big flakes.

Howdy Steve, where at in So. NM? I'm living in Alamogordo right now. I'll be here for about a year before I head back to Central Texas and into Eastern New Mexico.

CRUSADER

I am in Las Cruces. We have been here since Nov.
2002. Retirement is ok I guess. Need to keep myself a little more busy. We moved from a farm in central NE just north of Grand Island. One thing is: I dont have to shovel snow, check cows on a cold winters night or put up firewood. I am a retired electrician and a farmer at heart. I had to retire due to Parkison's and due to a serius car wreck.

My ph# is 575-524-2539 I am north of IHOP about a mile and a half. Mabe we could meet for coffee
sometime. Or I could make a trip to Alomogordo
if that would work better.

Be careful and have fun.

Steve

i like the pictues, reminds me of my younger days im in nm too- and still pushing snow around lol

Howdy Steve,

I'll be "retired" myself in November. I'll be having to learn how to be a civilian and work a real job like everyone else does real soon. I'm at Holloman, came here from Osan AB, So Korea. I've still not made the trip to Las Cruces. Either I stay here at the trailer or I go to Clovis to visit my wife. We'll have to get together sometime.
