I have noticed a disturbing lack of pictures in this forum.

I guess you crusty old buzzards are just to old to work modern digital cameras, and post pics. :D

Mostly, its 2:50 AM, on a frikin Sat, and Im at work. Bored.

Anyhow, just a few pics I got from last years show in Temple Tx.
(If I post any of yalls tractors, and it not cool, just tell me,and ill take the pictures down. No harm ment, just admiring)

This was one of the cleanest, JDs there. 630LP. The paint was so fresh, that the owner couldnt even apply the decals yet.

The ammount of weight this guy hung on his 720 was just unreal. He just KEPT piling plates anywhere he could clamp them.
He said, that total weight WITH all weights on it was about 24K EEK!

Superclean 730D, love the super narrow, semi-wide front

These were my favorites. Mostly because my grandfather had an army of Olivers. He had quite a few identical to these 2
1950 with the GM on the left, 1850 with Perkins on the right.

I have never been a CASE fan, but this was so nice, how could you not love it?
The modern Donaldson air cleaner assy was a nice touch.

I'm sorry I don't post pictures but I sure hope you get bored at
work again and post some more pictures. You sure had some nice
pictures there. Why would someone put a 5.9 cummins in an M
farmall? They sure did a nice job. Keep the pictures coming?

(quoted from post at 05:04:54 02/27/10) work again

They are cheap, plentiful, reliable, can be modded to the moon. Whats not to like?

Dimensions are probably pretty close to the original M engine. Probably pretty close in weight, too.

really nice pictures, how long have you lived in florida, and how do you like it? Its starting to look real good right about now with the winter we are having.

The 720 with all the weights would be defeating the whole purpose of weights if it was used for field work. If it's used for pulling, he's probably going to break something sooner rather than later. The tractor looks good but all the weights look kind of dumb to me. Dave

This isn't Chris, but I know him. I don't think he would mind if I filled you in about his Oliver 1850.
I don't remember if Chris did this or if he bought it like this. Somewhere along the life of the 1850 the motor went bad and was replaced with this combine engine, hence the external parts. There just wasn't enough room under the hood for everything.
After thinking about this tractor for a bit, I wonder if it's ever been on a dyno?

Home made and handy. I bought the 1850 diesel with a miss and it turned out to be a blown head gasket that had been run too long. Had a grove burned between 2 cylinders. Had a 750 MF combine I bought for parts for $40 with a 354 turbo in it, so I switched motors. Couldn't get enough air thru the regular air cleaner, so I did some poor boy modifications for the intake and exhaust. It's been about 7 or 8 years since I did it, no regrets. Oh yea, still on the new batteries I put in when I bought it. Slowly getting it repainted. 4year old grandson loves it, says it is his tractor. I would like to put it on a dyno some day. Chris

Did a total restoration of a 44Diesel Special Massey Harris. Presently working on a 444 gas.
