sprayer flow rate monitor

I was talking with my chemical dealer yesterday afternoon, and he suggested a flow rate monitor for more accurate spraying, but couldn't find what he was looking for in his books. Does anyone know if they are still made? Just looking for a monitor only, don't want boom controls, just want to know how much product is going on the ground. Thanks, Chris

The flowrate monitors are available.

A monitor will not adjust the flow to speed without getting the controler with it, as you probably know.

So unless you really watch your speed the flow rate monitor will not do you as much good as getting the controler with it.

My boom controls and pressure regulator are mounted on the tractor, so I can adjust speed and pressure to get desired results, just want to be sure how many gpa are being sprayed. I split the field between corn and beans and not positive on exact # of acres planted each year. Just want to know I'm getting the correct volume on. Chris

I use a Raven 440 controller and flow meter, google "raven 440". Cost a few bucks, but worth it. I bought mine used from the nearby FS for like $500 2 years ago with flowmeter, had to buy my own speed sensor.
