aha, got that lil stinker off finally. used a small bearing splitter on the end of the impeller to get a hold of it, slid a bolt down and hooked up a gear puller. just a slip fit with a keyway. its an old asm pump, but took all the junk to big r"s and it matches right up to a banjo pump. now back to assembly. if all goes well i can burn ditches and fence lines off this weekend. i use this pump on my water wagon with a fire hose. works good. heres a pic or 2

the inside of the impeller has a bronze sleeve pressed inside it. big r's had the complete rebuild kit for about 50 dollars with a new impeller.
