Well I woke up this morning. That's a good sign. Rain has stopped for at least the next week. Supposed to hit 70 today. Think I am going to get me a cooler full of drinks. Go out to the field and sit under my tree. Watch the day go by.

Wife went to the oncologist yesterday and is cancer free for another 6 months. Best and most positive news i can get.

Good news Rick. My wife battled cancer for ten years before she died. Hope your wife is around for a long and happy life.

Yep.......checked the obituaries in this morning's paper; I wasn't listed, so I guess I'm good for another day.

Nother great day in retirement-lined up several estates sales and yard sales. Great tool and hard ware buys. Back home and made bacon and eggs and toast with coffee and two dogs thought it was a good day with fresh bread with bacon grease. Have to resale or the space is full. The sting is 3 dollar gas. Use the vehicle two days a week less now.

At my age just happy to be alive for another
spring(my favorite season). Went down to Tractor Supply and bought some supplies for Spring.
Glad to see they still take dollars. The way
external_link is spending money I thought I might have
to go home and bring in some my coin collection.

Cows are close to calving, prepin for more concrete in barn, and have to get some land worked to plant oats. Another great day. Jim

Well it must be warming up, the township is starting to screw all the roads up with river gravel...

But life is good! Another spring to look forward to, hopefully the apple tree won't get frost bit this year, but the pasture is greening up and I do feel a sense of optimism in the air, something different.

That is a wonderful feeling. My wife was diagnosed thirteen years ago and hhas gone free every since. Just came from nursing visting she is there because of having brain surgery and is unable to walk or take care of herself. Has been there five years, She is a tough gal will be married 60 years on Christmas Day. It is rough but we stil have each other.

Life is good here. I have not needed to feed hay now for 10 days. Will go get my tobacco plant in two weeks. Should get my new to me tractor running in the next week. Wife who is expecting our first child is doing great. Life is good all the way around as long as I don't watch the news.

Last year I couldn't get the motor on my garden cultivator started (a little track driven harrow, much faster and easier on the soil than a rototiller).

I picked up a replacement motor at TSC last December for half price; today I got it hooked up tried it out even though the ground is really too wet to work. Everything works fine, I'm ready for sweet corn and tomato season :^)

My son and his family moved in with us today. We couldn't be happier.

After living in town for ten years they are building a house on the farm we have across the road.

As soon as they made plans for the new house they listed their house in town with the hope they would have it sold by the time they can move into the new one, probably in June sometime.
Well, 24 hours after they listed it the house was sold and they had to move out in a month. So here they are with us and we're one big happy family of six. Marilyn grew up in a family of 17 so for her this is a small group. She and daughter-in-law get together like two peas in a pod so all is cool. Jim

Dad always sadi "There ain't no U-hauls in a funeral procession!". You can't take it with you, enjoy every day for what it is. Good advice from an old farmer.

I wanted to go to Macfaddens auction. Instead I had to set up our renewable energy display at a wild game feast at a benifit club. They served Elk Venison, Bear, Wild Turkey,Fish Chowder,Barbecued Hog, Chilly made from many of these plus all the rest of the fixins plus your favorite grain and hop beverage, all for 10 Bucks. Tons of people, but only one thing on their mind. It sure, was a lot better than the hot dog wagon at the auction ! We also had a young lady set up beside us that did some of the nicest chainsaw carvings of eagles and bears I ever saw. She buzzed 3 footers out in about 40min. She was a "fox" and drew a crowd any time she was carving. FUN DAY!

Twenty two years ago since CANCER. Lord gave me another chance. I am trying my best to show how grateful I am and do whatever he thinks I should do. Dave at 66.
