Rod, do you know if a Ford 4610 3 cylinder diesel engine has a longer stroke than a 3 cylinder Ford 4600 diesel engine? My father in law told me today that the 4610 has a longer stroke, and is 3 hp more than a 4600, 52 vs 55? Each of has one of each tractor, I never heard this, do you know if thata true? J

4600 and 4610 both use the 201 engine, both with 4.4" bore and stroke, both rated at 52 PTO hp. The biggest change is that the 4610 engine uses an externally ribbed/cross hatched block wheras the 4600 has the smooth side block which was more prone to pinholing/cavitation. For that matter the tractors in their entirety are nearly identical... save the sheet metal.
