720 three point hitch issue

Good morning folks,

I'm workin on putting a three point hitch on my 720 and have hit a snag. My tractor does not have a bracket in the center for the toplink to hook up to. There is a place for one to go. However, after looking at it and the parts book I am unsure of how I would get something in there. On either side of where the bracket would go there are round places with brass bushings in them. In the book it shows a shaft going through the bracket. I'm wondering just how much I'm missing and if there is a simpler way to do this. If anyone has run into this issue I'd be much abliged for the information. Thanks and God bless.

I would say the tractor never had 3 point. It isn't a fixed mount that goes there, the top link mount is actually a pivot and through some linkage operates the draft control for the 3 pt hitch.

You will need alot of pieces to do it like original. Get another rockshaft housing with all the parts and change the parts over or the whole thing.
Aren't you in Ohio ? Wilson farms has several of those laying out back with the parts you need in them.

Howdy,

Thanks for the input. That's what I was afraid of. I think what I'm going to do is get one of my buddies who does metal work to rig up a fixed yoke of some sort to go in there. I don't need draft control for the work I'm going to do with the three point and I have 1000 dollars worth of arms and elephant ears hanging on the tractor so I don't need to spend any more to totally redo the rear end. Thanks for all your help. God bless.
