can someone advise me as what type of oil to put in the transmission of my d 4006 2 wheel drive old tractor

I"ve ran a D4006 many hours with a Kelly loader but can"t help ya. I would try your AGCO dealer. We had a Deutz dealer for many years in Plain City Ohio and there was one around Greenville, Ohio. But any old Deutz -Allis dealers should be able to help. Dave2 might be able to help because he"s over in the area where they were the tractor of choice at one time.

You can use Hy-Tran or Agco"s 821.

Cowman, Thanks for the info! can I use univ hyd tractor fluid in the hydraulics,?? as I have plenty of that

The oil that Deutz uses is a 15w40 hydrulic oil. Cen-Pe-Co oil has 15w40 hydrulic oil it is red in color. That is the oil I would use. You should be ok univ hyd tractor fluid.
