Farmall Super C Oil Type

What is the best type of motor oil to use in a Farmall Super C? Sae 30, 10w-30? High mileage? It has a gasoline engine.

straight 30 wt is what the manual called for originally, 10wt in the winter. i have been running rotella 15-40 in all my gas tractors and they seem to like it just fine.

Any oil you get now is 10 times better than what they put in the tractors originally. All you need to pay attention to is viscosity.

If it says SAE30, you can put straight 30, or 10W30 in it.

15-40 is fine, I have also run a 10-30 as year round oil.

15-40 diesel oil.
