super c lift

Not the 2-point lift, but what do you call the other lift system, that lifted with a long rod to the back lift system & how well does this work. I have a Super c with no lift system & have most of the parts for this system. Have seen pictures were these have been converted to 3-point & wondering how well these worked. thanks for any info.

Converted to 3pt they work OK. They are a little clumsey in terms of the rods and mechanisms being in the space for setting on and off. and are less controlable than a hitch with cylinder on it. If I chose, I would put a Saginaw three point, or a SC FH (if I had tpt equipment. Jim

The lift under the gas tank is called a Touch Control.

The only "lift system" that has rods going to the rear is a 3pt conversion.

You probably just have some parts from a mounted plow or cultivator.

I have that on my C. It is part of the 2 bottom plow system and lifts it out of the ground. It is very handy and I leave mine on the tractor most of the year. It will lift a very heavy load. The rod goes forward to one of the touch control arms. The lift mechanisim attaches to two axle clamps that are also used to mount other attachments and can be moved. They fit into the notches on the axle housing. I am sure someone has a picture. Try the Farmall section here. It is NOT a 3pt. hitch
