It seems like most of the Midwest is pretty much in the same boat. I saw my neighbors sneak in some haylage, but haying is out of the question. Man, am I going to be busy if we ever get consecutive days without rain. Every time the update the 7-day forecast, it's still rain 7 days out though.

I got my first cutting made a week or so before Memorial Day. Second cutting is coming on great and probably will need to be cut in 2 weeks. Grass hay needs cut soon to get a second crop.

Got first cutting Alfalfa in the barn with no rain, Got part of second cutting on the ground, dodged a rain last night, Sun shining this morning, May be ready to bale late tomorow.

I'm still waiting out the weather. The big dairy chopped all of theirs before Memorial Day. Their second cutting looks super. I'll 100% guarantee they'll be done with second before I'm done with first.
They said their truck drivers were complaining that they only worked 36 hours hauling first cutting.

I have just got enough done to say I did some and that is it. Baled up around 15 squares but they where really to wet to stack so gave them to the neighbor. I called him asking for help and he and his kids came down picked them up and I then told him to jump in my truck and take them home. At least that tested the baler. Then a week or so later I cut down some more and baled up 6.5 round bales

Nope... , well, so far just made about 50 wheat hay rounds..... been just cutting far flung isolated small nuisance patches in the hopes that the isolated t-storms Might miss one ,,, so far all has got washed , sometimes just enuff to keep it from going thru the baler that day , then the next day rains sodamuch the hay washes off hillsides down thru the flats ....

My hay was cut, dried, cubed & sold by the day after Memorial Day. Must be a record on this farm. Everyone else in the has been doin' some sloppy choppin' in the neighborhood. Haven't been too many drying days around here since the three weeks before the holiday. My hayfield has recovered quite well. It seems to like the cool, damp nights & humid days. - Mike

Finally got some rain the past 10 days we might be able to grow some... Funny thing, your "forecast" map doesn't look much different than the ones they been throwing up here the past 3 years...all we got were bigger cracks in the ground.

These nuckleheads nowdays can't forcast the weather for this afternoon much less 2, 5 or 10 days out.
